What is one piece of advice you would give to an incoming freshman?
My advice would be to get involved and find something that you love, whether that be an organization, research job, sports team or something else!

What organizations outside the college of engineering do you belong to?
Dance Marathon, Phi Eta Sigma Honors Fraternity (but also SWE, AIChE, Omega Chi Epsilon ChemE Honors Society in the college of engineering)

Have you had any international experience? If so, where did you go, for how long, and what did you do?
Yes! Studied abroad in Italy with CIMBA for 4 weeks in the summer of 2018

How are you an "engineer ... and something more"?
I am involved in many student organizations, am a teaching assistant, volunteer at the hospital, and am involved with research!

Have you done any research with a professor? If so, what department was the professor and what was your research about?
Yes - research at the Medical Education and Research Building in the Institute for Vision Research studying inherited eye diseases and also research in the CoE entering and analyzing data about engineering ethics

Is there something else you'd like to tell us about yourself?
My goal is to have a career in the field of medicine!

What is your favorite part about being a student at The University of Iowa?
I love having the opportunity to be involved in a wide array of things while still getting an amazing education that I feel supported in

Who is your favorite professor and why?
Dr. Fiegel - she is very welcoming to her students and I was able to be a TA for her twice

What has been your favorite course?
Chemical Process Safety or Fluid Flow

What do you enjoy doing in your free time at The University of Iowa?
I love drinking coffee or watching Netflix
