The Quad City Times reported October 13 on Larry Weber, Edwin B. Greene Chair in Hydraulics, professor of civil and environmental engineering, and director of IIHR--Hydroscience & Engineering, who was one of about 25 speakers at the ninth annual Upper Mississippi River Conference in Moline, IL.

Presented by River Action Inc., Davenport, and sponsored by more than 20 businesses and organizations, the theme of this year's two-day event is to "raise the grade" of the Mississippi River.
