 Christoph Beckermann

A paper that is co-authored by Christoph Beckermann, University of Iowa Foundation Distinguished Professor of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and director of the UI Solidification Laboratory, and published in 2009 in the journal Acta Materialia, has been awarded "Highly Cited Paper" status by Web of Science/Essential Science Indicators.

The recognition reflects that, as of November/December 2014, Beckermann's highly cited paper received enough citations to place it in the top 1% of the academic field of Materials Science.

Whether looking at data, books, journals, proceedings or patents, Web of Science provides a single destination to access the most reliable, integrated, multidisciplinary research. Quality, curated content delivered alongside information on emerging trends, subject specific content and analysis tools have made it easy for students, faculty, researchers, analysts, and program managers to pinpoint the most relevant research to inform their work.

Acta Materialia provides a forum for publishing full-length, original papers and commissioned overviews that advance the in-depth understanding of the relationship between the processing, the structure and the properties of inorganic materials.
