Greg Carmichael, Karl Kammermeyer Professor of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering and co-director of the UI Center for Global and Regional Environmental Research, has been appointed to the Earth Science Advisory Committee of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The committee provides advice and makes recommendations to the director, Earth Science Division, Science Mission Directorate, NASA Headquarters, on Earth Science programs, policies, plans, and priorities.

He also has been appointed to the Environmental Protection Agency Science Advisory Board's Risk and Technology Review (RTR) Method Review Panel. The panel will conduct a peer review of EPA's draft report entitled "Screening Methodologies to Support Risk and Technology Reviews (RTR): A Case Study Analysis."
