Engineering alumnus Jordan Kappos (BSE 2007 civil engineering) was highlighted Saturday, October 31, at the Iowa-Maryland game.

Kappos, a civil engineer with Veenstra & Kimm Engineering, Des Moines, had been nominated and selected to be last week's honoree of the Tanks of Thanks video feature on the scoreboard, sponsored by Cenex, the energy brand of CHS Inc.

He has been very active in fund raising, including raising funds for one-year-old Henry Johnsen and his family. Henry's doctor found a large cancerous tumor in his abdomen, and being treated at Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines.
