Sixty-six University of Iowa student-athletes have been named to the 2016 Big Ten Fall Academic All-Conference team.

Eight of the 66 are engineering students. They are:

Men's Cross Country:  Anthony Gregorio, senior majoring in mechanical engineering, from Palatine, IL

Women's Cross Country:  Elizabeth Niedert, junior majoring in biomedical engineering, from Glen Ellyn, IL

Field Hockey:  Riley Kniptash, sophomore, undeclared engineering, from St. Louis, MO

Football:  Nate Vejoda, sophomore majoring in mechanical engineering, from Homer Glen, IL

Women's Soccer:

Kaleigh Haus, sophomore majoring in biomedical engineering, from Des Moines, IA

Aubree Larson, junior majoring in industrial engineering, from Ankeny, IA

Emma Rigby, sophomore majoring in biomedical engineering, from Naperville, IL.

Katharine Woodruff, junior majoring in industrial engineering and psychology, from Ames, IA

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten, student-athletes must be letterwinners and be in at least their second academic year at the institution. They must also carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.
