The Daily Iowan covered a presentation by Karim Abdel-Malek, professor of biomedical engineering and director of the Center for Computer-Aided Design, April 6 about the Virtual Soldier Research Program and how the University of Iowa is part of a discovery about how a U.S. soldier stands in the battlefield, exposed to possible injury. However, with the latest updates in virtual-reality research, he may be able to make it through.
