The issue features:

  • Mark Andersland, professor of electrical and computer engineering, who “flipped” the classroom for the required circuits course.  As a result, instruction improved because the professor was able to answer students’ questions when they were most ready to learn and students deepened their own understanding by sharing what they learned with each other.
  • Research at The National Advanced Driving Simulator SAFER-SIM Center that is making our highways safer.
  • The Society of Women Engineers which provides opportunities and skills that empower female engineering students to be great role models, leaders, and engineers in the work force.
  • Progress of the new addition to the Seamans Center.
