Hass Machlab, president and CEO of Innovative Software Engineering (ISE), Coralville, IA, is recipient of a Dean's Award for Entrepreneurial Leadership, and will present a special seminar at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 13, in Stanley Auditorium, 1505 Seamans Center, Iowa City, IA.

Machlab will speak on "Finding Innovative Solutions." 

The Dean's Award for Entrepreneurial Leadership is presented to alumni and non-alumni for exceptional achievement and leadership in creating and inspiring the principles of innovative, entrepreneurial spirit -- setting an extraordinary example for aspiring students, dedicated faculty and staff, and fellow alumni of The University of Iowa College of Engineering.

Machlab founded ISE in 2002. With 20 years in software development, he is involved in the day-to-day strategic activities of end-to-end innovative system solutions to solve customers’ complex problems. Since ISE’s founding, Machlab's focus has been to build a growing and thriving culture with system focused, business-minded engineers. Machlab uses state-of-the-art technology to build best-in-class products involving IoT, Mobile, Big Data and Cloud solutions. During his R&D years, he was awarded a patent and NASA’s “Creative Development of a Technical Innovation” award. In 2015, Machlab founded the ISE Coding Garage which gives high school students the opportunity to convert the programming they learn in the classroom to actual Android Apps in a fun, creative, and collaborative environment.

Machlab holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and Master's of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
