Priyadarshini Pennathur, assistant professor of mechanical and industrial engineering and a member of the University of Iowa Informatics Initiative, has been selected to receive the IISE Dr. Hamed K. Eldin Outstanding Early Career IE in Academia Award.

The award will be presented to Pennathur during the IISE Annual Conference & Expo 2018 May 19-22 in Orlando, FL.

The Eldin Award recognizes individuals in academia who have demonstrated outstanding characteristics in education, leadership, professionalism and potential in industrial engineering, honoring engineering contributions in application, design, research or development of IE methods by early career IISE members. The award is sponsored by Integrated Systems Technology.

It is an international, nonprofit association that provides leadership for the application, education, training, research, and development of industrial and systems engineering.
