A May TEDx at UIowa presentation by H. S. Udaykumar, professor of mechanical and industrial engineering and faculty research engineer at IIHR--Hydroscience & Engineering, is currently featured on YouTube.

Udaykumar conducted the presentation on "A $1 Hearth Implant to Save Lungs."  Udaykumar's work with tribal villages in Northwest India has been focused on helping villagers find solutions to their energy needs. The talk highlighted some of the ups-and downs of his efforts and a recent flash of an interesting idea while watching a roaring cooking fire.
