Two College of Engineering faculty experts in major flooding have given their perspective to local news media about the catastrophic rain and flooding in Texas.

Gabriele Villarini, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering and interim director of IIHR--Hydroscience & Engineering, and Witold Krajewski, professor of civil and environmental engineering and director of the Iowa Flood Center, were interviewed by interviewed by KCRG-TV and KGAN-TV respectively as massive rainfall continued to inundate Houston and other areas of coastal Texas.
