The University of Iowa has been the Affiliate Partner of the FIRST Tech Challenge -- a middle and high school based program in which teams of students design, build, and program robots -- since 2009.  It is now recognized as a world leader of the program.

Rebecca Whitaker, coordinator, FIRST Tech Challenge Programs, Diversity and Outreach for the College of Engineering, attended the FTC Championship March 20-28 in Bucharest, Romania.
