A paper co-authored by Xiaodong Wu, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering and researcher at the Iowa Institute of Biomedical Imaging, will receive the Moses

and Sylvia Greenfield Paper Award July 13 at the annual meeting of American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) in Anaheim, CA.  Also co-authoring the paper is Jingzhu Xu, a graduate student in biomedical engineering.

The paper, "Interstitial rotating shield brachytherapy for prostate cancer," was published in Medical Physics.

Other co-authors are Quentin Adams, Elizabeth Kaye Breitbach, Yusung Kim, Xing Li, Shirin Enger, William Rockey, and Ryan Thomas Flynn.

AAPM is a scientific and professional organization, founded in 1958, composed of more than 8000 scientists whose clinical practice is dedicated to ensuring accuracy, safety and quality in the use of radiation in medical procedures such as medical imaging and radiation therapy.
