What is one piece of advice you would give to an incoming freshman?
Find your family. This may be your roommate, friends from high school, or completely new people you meet during your time here on campus, but they will be your newest and biggest support system during your time here.

What organizations outside the college of engineering do you belong to?
South Asian Student Alliance.

Have you had any international experience? If so, where did you go, for how long, and what did you do?
Have traveled to India 4 times in my life. Most recently, visited New Delhi and Beas with my mother for a week in 2019 to see family.

How are you an "engineer ... and something more"?
One of my favorite things to do is plan events so my first year here I spent as the Director of Mock Shaadi which is a huge event put together by the South Asian Student Alliance that showcases different wedding traditions from all over the region.

What is your favorite part about being a student at The University of Iowa?
One of my favorite things about engineering at Iowa is how easy it is to belong somewhere on such a large campus with a vast amount of opportunities at the tips of your fingers.

Who is your favorite professor and why?
Professor Jennifer Fiegel: I've been in a similar class to the lab portion of Introduction to Engineering Problem Solving during my high school years but Professor Fiegel really engaged with out class making our time spent In her class extremely valuable and inspiring. I particularly enjoyed our lesson on engineering ethics through a risk/reward styled game.

What has been your favorite course?
Introduction to Engineering Problem Solving (both lab and lecture I can't pick).

What do you enjoy doing in your free time at The University of Iowa?
Taking walks/mini photoshoots with my friends around campus, enjoying activities planned by the campus activity board.
