Project description

4D active appearance models of ventricles and aorta are to be generated using manual or automatic segmentation on 4D MRI data sets. Then the trained 4D AAM models are to be used for highly automated segmentation of ventricles and aorta.

The generated 4D AAM model coefficients provide compact representation of both shape and intensity variation of ventricles and aorta among population and can be used in diagnois and early identification of cardiavascular diseases.
