“Improving people’s quality of life is the driving force of our research. In the Smart and Multifunctional Materials Systems Lab we develop bio-inspired artificial muscles able to lift up to 12,600 times their own weight. We use these muscles to produce lightweight and powerful human assistive robotic devices for people with physical impairments.”
