Ching-Long Lin, professor of mechanical and industrial engineering, has accepted the College's offer to become the next departmental executive officer of

Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, effective July 1, 2015.

"Prof. Lin brings excellent experience to his new role including impressive teaching and research accomplishments, a record of effective leadership for international and national scientific and professional societies, and distinguished service in numerous departmental, collegiate, and university assignments," according to Alec Scranton, College of Engineering dean.

"I also want to thank Prof. Andrew Kusiak for all that he has accomplished as departmental executive officer of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering since his appointment in 2010, while consistently maintaining his productive research program and teaching activities," Scranton added.
