Sudhakar M. Reddy, an emeritus professor of electrical and computer engineering who joined the University of Iowa College of Engineering in 1966, was named a Highly Ranked Scholar in two categories. Reddy was ranked the No. 10 scholar in computer-aided design and the No. 15 scholar in integrated circuits.

BME students patent senior design invention, launch company

University of Iowa senior design team laid the groundwork for commercializing a novel prosthetic device for the lower leg that is designed to adjust as children grow. The adaptable below-the-knee pediatric prosthesis showed enough promise the students filed for a provisional patent and formed a limited liability company, GroLimb, LLC.
