Biomedical Engineering Organizations

Alpha Eta Mu Beta (AEMB) is the Honor Society for Biomedical Engineering. With goals to promote leadership, mentorship, and achievement, the organization serves to develop our highly qualified members both in terms of their academics and their character.

Biomedical Engineering Student Society (BMESS) is the social organization for the biomedical engineering department at The University of Iowa. The organization strives to promote camaraderie and coherence between members of the biomedical engineering community, to increase awareness of the growing field of BME, and to open doors of opportunity to our members. Membership is open to all students at The University of Iowa regardless of their area of study.
